Last updated 01 January 1970

This privacy statement applies to the website https://wolverinegaragedoors.co.uk and to enquiries you make with us. Wolverine Garage Doors Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for the personal data described below. We are committed to handling your data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We do this by:

  • clearly stating why we collect your personal data;
  • collecting only what we genuinely need;
  • asking for your consent where the law requires it;
  • keeping appropriate security measures in place; and
  • respecting your rights to access, correct or delete your data.

1. What we collect, why, and for how long

1.1 Enquiries and quotes (contact form, phone, email)

When you contact us through the website form, by phone or by email, we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode and any details you give us about your enquiry. We use this to respond to you, arrange a free survey, prepare a quote and carry out any work you go on to order.

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

Retention: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, where you become a customer, for up to 6 years after the work is completed to meet our legal, accounting and warranty obligations.

1.2 Website statistics and analytics

With your consent, we collect information about how you use the website (pages visited, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser) to understand what is working and improve the site.

Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Retention: as set out in our Cookie Policy.

2. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted suppliers ("processors") who help us run our business, and only as far as needed:

  • Tradify / TradeHQ — our job management and customer record system, used to manage your enquiry, quote and installation.
  • Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send our reply and your confirmation email.
  • Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) — website analytics, under a data processing agreement and only with your consent. Google may not use this data for its own purposes.
  • CyberStaff — the live chat service on our website, if you choose to use it.
  • Our hosting and IT providers — including our website host and our web developer, Dead Simple Computing Ltd, who maintain the site on our behalf.

We may also share data with our professional advisers, or with the authorities, where the law requires it.

3. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details and to manage your preferences.

4. When we may disclose your data

We may disclose your personal data where we are required to by law, a court order or a law enforcement or regulatory authority, or in connection with the sale or transfer of our business (in which case it may be shared with our advisers and any prospective buyer).

5. How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), access controls, email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and regular updates to our systems.

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected or completed, and in some cases deleted or restricted;
  • withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your data;
